Project Introduction
This project is a 59 square meter duplex self built house. Built 50 years ago by Xiaomin's father, who graduated from the Department of Architecture at Tongji University, the house bears witness to the passage of time and the warmth of family. Two years ago, Xiaomin's father suffered from Alzheimer's disease and was unable to take care of himself. His 81 year old mother also suffered from arthritis and was increasingly unable to move around. After half a century of wind and rain, the old house can no longer meet the needs of elderly care. Faced with multiple challenges such as limited space and aging structure, the lighting designer boldly transformed the new home to better meet the needs of elderly care and continue the warmth of the home.

Intelligent transformation, designed specifically for the elderly
In terms of lighting design, intelligent transformation is carried out specifically for the elderly. Through intelligent regulation, soft lighting and adjustable brightness are achieved, effectively avoiding glaring light and reducing visual fatigue. According to the human body rhythm, the light automatically adjusts to the most suitable brightness for the elderly as the sun rises and sets, helping to regulate the biological clock and mood.

Exclusive scenarios, considering special needs
For the convenience of daily care, customize exclusive lighting scenes for decoction. The light is focused and soft, which can effectively remind the kitchen of fire safety and reduce the anxiety caused by long waiting times.
After entering the sleep mode, the lights will gradually become soft and dim over time, helping patients relax and fall asleep easily. At the same time, it avoids the possibility of waking up suddenly when the lights are turned off, adding warmth and peace of mind to patients' daily rest.

One click control, easy to control
The aging friendly renovation aims to facilitate the use of elderly people through subtle design. In the switch panel settings, preset lighting scenes are set, so that elderly people do not need to search for switches one by one. They can quickly switch to the specified lighting effects through the panel, improving the comfort and convenience of home life. At the same time, with remote control function, children or caregivers can adjust the lighting in their homes at any time while they are away, improving the quality of life for the elderly.
